Mother-Son Activity

Bryce asked me to make him some snickerdoodles today.
I told him that I'd be happy to if he will help me.  (Its hard to
get him to participate in things with me....) So we had a
good time making cookies today.  And they are yummy!  Oh,
we also made a batch of gluten-free ones so now I am going to
get fat!  :)

Daddy-daughter backpacking trip

Christa came for a weekend visit and Greg took her on an
over night backpacking trip.  They started at Tony Grove up Logan Canyon
and came back to Smithfield Canyon the next day.  Its about
a 10 mile hike.  This is near the Summit above Tony Grove
about 2 1/2 miles in on the first day.
This is something Christa loves doing and Greg was happy
to take her!  Great daddy-daughter time!
This was part of the trail covered in fossils of roots,
branches, leaves, etc.
Next morning near where they camped for the night.
Christa loves flowers and is enjoying the wild flowers.
Christa's backpack was almost as big as her but she
did great!
 Almost home
 My handsome hubby
Her shoulders and hips were bruised.  Next time they
will figure out how to pack a little lighter.

Smithfield Canyon soaking their feet at the
end of the hike, waiting for me to come pick them up.
Back to technology...
They both had a great time!

First Day of School

Bryce is our only child left at home
which he thinks is great because he gets
so much attention!  Today is his
first day as a Junior in High School!
I'm a little sad to have just one child to send off
to school today.  Tanner moved out last
weekend to an apartment in Logan and that
has been very sad for me.  He starts school at USU
on Monday next week.  Maybe I will go to his
apartment Monday morning and take a picture of him! :)

Dating

Greg and I find ourselves alone more often than not anymore.
The kids are all off doing their own thing (working today).
He made a picnic lunch for us and we went to First Dam
for a picnic and to feed the ducks.
He's so sweet!  I love this man!

Marvin & Jenny's family visit

Marvin and Jenny and their kids visited us on their way to
Idaho and Washington yesterday.  However, I forgot to
take a picture, so Jenny was nice enough to send a picture to
us after they had gotten to Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Madalyn, Emily, Adrianne and Kaitlyn are such sweet little
girls and it was fun to see them for a few hours.  Since they live
in Texas we only see them maybe once every two years.
Thanks Marvin and Jenny for stopping to visit!!
