Easter

The Easter Bunny even comes to teenagers.  Bryce is
ready for church and yes, is wearing a beanie because his
hair is wet and it helps keep it from going frizzy.
Coloring Easter Eggs using shaving cream with food coloring.
Its a fun idea and feels neat on your hands.  However, it
really doesn't work very well.
This is a weird Easter this year.  Breeann and Brandon
have moved away to Colorado, Christa lives in California,
Tanner just left for Pennsylvania for the next 5 months so
we just have Bryce at home.  So I told him that he just needs
to humor his mom and let me enjoy some of the Easter
traditions even though he is 17.  Actually, he enjoyed playing
in the shaving cream!  :)
These next few pictures are really for Breeann and
Brandon.  Brandon's grandparents invited us over to have
Easter dinner.  They have a lot of family visiting this
week and more coming in throughout the week due to their
50th wedding anniversary party.  We had fun playing with
the kids and visiting.  Baby Sammy...

Boise Tournament

Here are a couple of action shots of Bryce playing
Bishop Kelly High School in Boise.
The temperature in Boise for the weekend got up to
54 degrees, but it was SUPER windy and FREEZING!
After the first game on Saturday, Bryce had a 4 hour break
until his next game and he was FROZEN!  So we took him
to Grandpa and Grandma Law's house and he slept in front
of their fire for an hour after Grandma fed him lunch.  The next
game was a LITTLE warmer and he did put on his warm
under armor.  (which I had suggested he do for the prior game, but
you know kids.....)
My parents came to watch a game and so did Lauretta with
some of her kids, Audra, Jarom and Cannon.
Unfortunately, they came to a game that we lost, but they
enjoyed watching and supporting Bryce.  We are
thankful for our family and loved spending time with some
of them.

More Vegas Tournament

I left out a few pictures...yep, those are my WHITE
legs getting sunburned.
 LOVING the sunshine!
Warming up for the third game on Saturday.
They are SOOOO tired after playing 2 games in the heat
on Saturday, waiting for lunch.  Then they played one more
game after lunch.

Vegas tournament

Its LaCrosse season again!  LaCrosse for us actually begins the first week
of January when they start conditioning.  This conditioning is pretty
intense and last about 6 weeks.  This year they also had the
opportunity to practice inside a small warehouse the month of
January and February.  This has prepared them for this tournament.
Here is a shot of Bryce scoring!  Ya, Greg is that good.
He actually got a photo of that!  Awesome!

They played 4 games and won 3 of them.  This placed
them in 1st place for their division.  Such an exciting tournament!!
When we weren't watching games, Greg and I spent a little
time together just enjoying a break.  We went to a
shark aquarium.  Cool little lion fish.
 Lots of sharks
And the best part was that it was SOOOO warm!
It was 75 degrees most days and it was heaven!
This has been such a long winter and we loved
the heat.  Yes, I am burned, but it was soooo worth it!
Walking around on the strip, we went into the
Caesar's Palace.  This is so neat.  Its a big area inside
the building with the Greek mythology creatures
made of marble.  The roof looks like the sky.  It was
absolutely huge!

And....kind of spur of the moment we decided to go see
The Donny & Marie Show!  We both enjoyed it alot.
They really do put on a great show and we heard that it was
rated the #1 show in Vegas.  I believe it.  It was great!  Marie
even came running into the audience and ran right past Greg putting
kisses on lots of the older men's heads, but Greg isn't bald or old
so I guess that must be why she passed him up!  :)
Bryce had a great time at the tournament and is so excited for this season!
This is the beginning of a crazy month!  We have a tournament in Boise next weekend
and the Salt Lake the following.  Go Bobcats!!

Lois Sawyer

March 1, 2013 one of the most wonderful woman
that I have had the privilege of knowing passed away and
is now reunited with her sweet and loving husband Charles.
This picture is one of my favorites of some of the most
special people in our lives.  We love our friends,
The Sawyers and Lois is Robert's mother.  We used to
lived right behind them for years when we first came to
Smithfield.  Lois is the most caring and wonderful woman.
I don't think I ever heard her say a negative thing about anyone
and she always found ways to make others smile.
I will miss her greatly and am so grateful I had the opportunity
to spend so much time with her this past year!  I am sure
that she is rejoicing in being with loved ones who have passed
on before her and dancing with her husband Charles again!
