1920's themed fundraiser dinner/auction

This is Bruce & Holly Jones, some of our neighbors/friends.
We sat together at The Child & Family Services Center's
fundraiser again this year. Bruce won "best costume"
for the men! It was great!
This is Colleen Low and her husband Mark's sister.
Colleen and Mark are also friends.

These people were "props" for the pictures
Ok, I know this picture is sideways! I spent about
a half hour in my photo program and finally figured
out how to turn it the right way, saved it and then
couldn't find it anywhere! So I gave up. The only
reason I posted it is because Christa wanted to see the
whole dress that I am wearing. I had a friend help
me make the dress part (because I didn't have a pattern, just a
dress that was too small that I needed to make a
pattern from). Then I sewed on the fringe. Pretty
simple, but it did the trick. It was a fun night, good
food, good entertainment and a good cause!

San Diego Zoo

It has taken me awhile to finish uploading pics from our
Spring Break vacation. These were taken at the
San Diego Zoo. This guy was HUGE!!
Koala Bears have always been my FAVORITE!
They look so soft and snuggly, right? I was soooo
super excited to finally see one in REAL life! When
I was a little girl I had a stuffed animal Koala. I wish
I knew what happened to it...
The boys loved these Meercats. They were sunning
themselves! So funny!

Leaving Mexico

Ahhh, I love this man!
At the border crossing (took about 1 1/2 hours
to cross this time, the last time we were here 5 years
ago it took 3 hours) When you are in your car
waiting to cross the border there are people walking
along the road trying to sell you stuff, wash your windows,
etc. Its atleast entertaining!

Fun on the beach in Mexico

Bryce flying his batman kite on the beach
After a day of shopping in Rosarito its fun to eat some
authentic mexican food. The boys favorite part was
the coke in a bottle. They said it tasted sooooo good!
Nothing better than horseback riding on a beach!
Tanner enjoyed it alot!
Bryce & Greg's horses wanted to run alot. Well,
Greg's horse wanted to be in the lead the whole time
and Bryce's horse wanted to stay by him. Bryce
really liked galloping!

More Mexico

Greg is so relaxed on vacation, he needs that
more often!
Bryce and Greg playing tennis

Relaxing in the sun by the pool!
This is our view from the balcony in the daytime. It
is so beautiful there!

More Mexico

One of the things the boys were both looking forward to
was buying fireworks and blowing them up on the
beach. These are the M-80s and M-100's
This huge bag of M-80s cost around $10, they had
a great time blowing them up! What is it with boys
and fireworks?
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? PEOPLE ACTUALLY EAT THIS????
That is just sick and wrong. We went to a grocery store
and this is in the meat department. YUCK!!!!!!!
Bryce looks like he is freezing to death, but he had a
great time! They took surfing lessons and were out
there for several hours. No way would they have been
able to stay out there that long without wet suits.

Handsome surfing boys!

Rosarito Beach, Mexico

The water was like 50 degrees, but the boys went out
boogy boarding anyways (once)
Bryce running back to warm up in the sun
Tanner having fun playing in the waves
This is always my favorite part, relaxing in the hot tub!
Beautiful sunset view from our balcony

Fun day in Indio with cousins

My cousin Debbie and her family were staying about
10 min away from our condo and came to visit us.
Bryce had a lot of fun playing with her boys.
Tanner mostly layed in the sun, but did hold the
baby and play with the boys a little.
Trying to warm up after being in the COLD pool
This is Boone, he is 3 months old and still tiny! We all
had so much fun holding and snuggling him!!
This is Jette and he is full of energy. Such a cutie!
Bryce had a ball with Luke! He just turned 3 and
loved the water! He was under it more than not. Luke
started out at a little over 1 lb at birth. He is doing
great and is an active and smart little boy!! Actually,
all of Debbie's kids have been premature. Jette was a little
bigger at I think around 4 lbs and Boone was about 6 lbs (but
still preemie). The boys are all doing well and it was so fun
to have them come and visit us for a few hours. Mark & Debbie
have their hands full with these three boys under the age of 3.
I wish we lived closer so we could help them and enjoy the boys more!
I'm sure Tanner & Bryce would LOVE to babysit!!

The Water Worlds Show
This show was really neat. They had an airplane
fly in through a little space and land in the water,
jet ski jumping around, people swinging and diving into
the water, things blowing up, etc.
Outside of the haunted house with Chucky
I really can't remember the names of these people
the boys were posing by. They drive a really cool car
which is in the background. It was a fun day with the boys!!

Scene from War of the Worlds
Its amazing to me that they can afford to keep
this set up. They filmed parts of the movie here
This is a man carrying a body out of the house which
was kind of freaky. Its the guy from Psycho (can't remember
his name). He walked up to the bus with a knife in his hand also!
Love this
Scene from the Grinch (its all made of styrafoam)

Flash floods during the tour
These flash floods were pretty neat to see! We were
in a bus on a tour of the movie sets and they
released the water!
This picture is supposed to be first, but as usual
I did it backwards. Its the beginning of the flood

The boys really liked this from the "Fast & Furious"
the cars were being thrown around and blown up
