Big game at SkyView!

Last night Bryce's LaCrosse team played one of their rival teams from the
valley, Logan High School.  Logan has a really good team and it always
difficult to beat them.  But SkyView won!  It was freezing cold and
poured rain the entire game, so watching was BRRRR!  It was so fun
though.  These boys have worked super hard this year and are doing
great.  Next week they play Mt Crest which is also a rival team
from the valley and then there are two more games left before the
playoffs.  It was pretty exciting to see an article in the paper this morning!

Child & Family Support Center Auction/Dinner

This year's theme was a beach theme and a group of
people came dressed as the Gilligan's Island crew.  It was
pretty funny.  I am always so inspired by my friend
Esterlee who is the Director of this great organization.
She is the most caring and amazing person I know.  This
organization is available to help families and children from our
community who may be in need in many different ways.
One of the many services they offer is a Crisis Nursery
and this is where alot of this money from the auction goes.
When I hear stories of different families/children who have
benefited from the Center it always touches me.  I'm greatful
to be a part of this organization on their Circle of Friends Committee!
Breeann was here visiting us so we took her to
the dinner with us.  She had a great time!
There is a raffle, silent auction and live auction.
Greg won these BYU sweatshirts and a football.  The
other people sitting with us at our table were not too
impressed since they are just Aggie fans.  But we are BYU and
Aggie fans, so there!
 Good fun!

Conference Weekend at the Cabin

We spent the weekend at the cabin for
conference.  Saturday morning was spent
doing yard work.  We had a bunch of old, ugly
bushes that we wanted to remove.  This cabin was
built in the 70s and hasn't really been lived in or used
much at all over the years.  The inside had been updated
when we bought it but nothing done to the outside yard.
We can see that a lot of really nice landscaping had been done
originally but not taken care of.  This is Greg and Robert
using their "He-Man" Power to remove some bushes.

Bliss and Zee and I raked up lots and lots
of old pine cones and pine needles.  Probably about
5 inches down.
This is the front flower bed (now
pretty empty).  We will have a planting
party in the near future!
The boys loading the branches to haul
to the green waste.
One thing we had in mind was to remove the bushes and
trees that will obstruct our view of the beautiful lake!
I should have taken a "before" picture.
This side was covered in very ugly bushes.
Again, we will plant things that won't obstruct our
view!
Finished!  We did get to see the Second Session of
Conference and Sundays Sessions!
Another project that we did on Friday was
paint our kitchen table and chairs.  Zee has
been doing a lot of furniture refinishing and
is a pro.  This is how they looked before.

Don't they look pretty!
