We spent the weekend at the cabin for
conference. Saturday morning was spent
doing yard work. We had a bunch of old, ugly
bushes that we wanted to remove. This cabin was
built in the 70s and hasn't really been lived in or used
much at all over the years. The inside had been updated
when we bought it but nothing done to the outside yard.
We can see that a lot of really nice landscaping had been done
originally but not taken care of. This is Greg and Robert
using their "He-Man" Power to remove some bushes.
Bliss and Zee and I raked up lots and lots
of old pine cones and pine needles. Probably about
5 inches down.
This is the front flower bed (now
pretty empty). We will have a planting
party in the near future!

to the green waste.
One thing we had in mind was to remove the bushes and
trees that will obstruct our view of the beautiful lake!
I should have taken a "before" picture.
This side was covered in very ugly bushes.
Again, we will plant things that won't obstruct our
view!
Finished! We did get to see the Second Session of
Conference and Sundays Sessions!
Another project that we did on Friday was
paint our kitchen table and chairs. Zee has
been doing a lot of furniture refinishing and
is a pro. This is how they looked before.
