Pig Roast!

Several times a summer, our friends the Chantry's and the
Alatini's have a pig roast! Here is the lucky little fellow!

Breeann & Brandon

DeDe Chantry (pink shirt) and the Patty family -- Next time I am at
the Chantry's house, I should take pictures of their amazing
yard and garden! DeDe is very talented and they work really
hard (obviously) to make a comfortable and peaceful place to
hang out in outside. DeDe says she would much rather be outside
than inside. I keep telling her she needs to come help me in my yard!

Tara Alatini and her brand new baby. Bryce had fun holding
him!

Top of Utah Half Marathon

Greg decided he wanted to run more than bike this year. He
has been doing a few races too. Several years ago, way before
I started blogging he ran the Top of Utah Marathon just to say he did.
And he did great! This year, he decided he would do the Half. He
finished in 1:35! He is a great runner and I am proud of him!
He looks a little tired!

Feeding the Ducks

After we left Norma, we drove to First Dam up the
Canyon to feed the ducks. Its been kind of a
rainy Sunday today, but it is warm outside.
The geese are obviously used to people, they came
right up to us and ate out of our hands.

I'm not so sure I want them to eat out of my hands.
What if they bite?

Greg isn't scared...

Bryce & Brandon have a whole herd of them eating
their bread.

Norma's 100th birthday!!

This is Norma, she is our adopted Grandma. We used to
be in the same ward years ago and we would go visit her
at her house and enjoyed being around her. Since we didn't have
any of our Grandparents close, the kids adopted her.
She has been one of my patients for the last few years.
This week is her 100th birthday. What a sweetie!
Bryce gave her this stuffed dog. She has a really
funny sense of humor. When I put her back in her bed,
she wanted all of the blankets on her. She said that she
needed them all to keep her warm because she didn't have
a boyfriend to keep her warm! Then she decided the little
dog could sleep with her and keep her warm.
She isn't out of her bed very often, so when we got
there and found her in her wheelchair, it was a nice
surprise! For a 100 year old, she is still pretty "with it".
She remembered all of us and knew that she had not
met Brandon yet. So, we introduced him as Breeann's
new husband. She was really cute about it and wishes
them a happy life together! Her birthday is August 28, which
is Friday so some of us will go back with some balloons.
Today was the only day that we knew most of us would be
able to go visit her.

Opening wedding gifts

Breeann & Brandon went on their honeymoon to
St. George for a few days after they got married.
When they got back, there was a very large stack
of gifts waiting for them to be opened!

They got a grill, which is to remind them of how they
met (at a barbeque)! Isn't that sweet?
This is only part of the very large pile! Now, if
they can just get an apartment so they can the nice things
they received...I told Breeann that for every week
we had to store their gifts in our basement, we get to
pick one gift! Ha Ha, she didn't laugh.

Bryce turned 14!

Bryce turned 14 on Sunday and was ordained a Teacher.
He wanted to have a paintballing party with his
friends. They can go down the canyon to paintball
which is just down the street.

They had a great time! Bryce said this was his
best birthday ever!
Braden Sawyer was still here after Breeann's
wedding and it was the first time he has been able
to be to one of Bryce's birthdays. Kind of weird, since
we have been together with the Sawyer's for most
holidays since they were both born!

After the party, we fed the boys sandwiches and
cheesecake! I guess Braden wanted the last piece
of cheesecake!

Food Storage Ideas

Here is a fun blog for food storage ideas, with lots of good recipes!

Bridal Photos

I can finally post some bridal photos. Breeann is a very
traditional bride and wanted Brandon to wait to see
her until they got married. Sooo, I could not post these
until now. We had a lot of fun doing these photos and she
looks beautiful! As soon as I get the wedding photos back,
I will post them!
My girls! They are both beautiful!!

She loves her shoes!

This is so her!

This black and white is beautiful with the
flowers colored!

Summer Fun

Who would have known that a toy designed for a 2 year would be
so much fun for teenagers? I bought this cute little octopus bubble blower.
It has two little critters that open their mouth to catch
the bubbles and they count the bubbles then burp after
they have eaten a few!

My two neices Toni and Terri are here for the wedding
along with my parents today. We have lots more family
coming tomorrow and Friday, should be a party!!

Family Home Evening

Bryce gave our family home evening lesson. The lesson was
The steps to the Temple. We went to the Logan Temple hoping we
could have the lesson on the temple grounds, but it is being renovated so
they had all the gates locked. We sat outside the gates. He wanted
to sit by the steps to do his lesson, but he was creative and
used the car to create steps.
The first step is Faith, second step is Repentance,
Third step is Baptism, and then Obedience. The
temple is such a blessing in our lives and we
are grateful to live so close to one! Wednesday of
this week, our beautiful daughter, Breeann will be
going through to receive her endowment! Then,
on Friday will be sealed to her sweetheart, Brandon!

Across the street from the temple there are benches
which overlook the valley. It is a beautiful setting to
sit and relax. Some benches are looking over the valley
and some are facing the temple! The boys found
other things to do with benches.

It looks like he might fall off the cliff!

After we were finished here, we went to LaBeau's, a famous
ice cream shop! Everyone enjoyed a milk shake together.

Youth Conference

I am in the Stake Young Women's and have been
planning this Youth Conference since the beginning of the year.
Toni is here with us, so she got to go also. She made a few new friends!

The Youth Conference was a 2 day event. Friday was all
day from 8 am - 11 pm. We had a lot of fun activities! One of
them was service. We had 4 service activities going on at
the same time. This one is washing chairs, we also did a Humanitarian
project (putting school kits together) We had
about 150 kids there!

We were outside and inside off and on all day to help
keep the kids cool. We had relay games, workshops, water
games, food, and at the end of the day, a surprise for the kids!
We had the fire department come with several trucks and
start a water fight, I was surprised at how far they
could spray the water! The kids loved it!
Saturday, the kids came dressed in their church clothes
for a brunch, devotional and testimony meeting. We heard
comments from kids that they didn't want it to end. It was
a really successful event!

Some summer fun!

Since I have been so busy planning a wedding, I have
not done a lot of fun things this summer with the kids.
So, I decided I would take them to the pool for a few
hours.
My niece, Toni, is here for a few weeks with us.
She is the same age as Erica, my friend Sara's daughter
so we invited them so Toni would have someone to
hang out with.

Of course, all the kids fought over who was going
to play with Brooke in the pool!

And, this is what happens when you don't listen to
your mom about sunscreen! I offered to put it on the boys,
but they didn't want any. They wanted to get a tan! They were both
totally fried, and now they are peeling. Will they learn?

Bridal showers!

Debbie Moore and Kristi Berryhill gave Breeann a bridal shower
with her friends from High School. The cupcakes had big diamond rings
in them.
It was a lot of fun!

She got some really fun gifts for her walls and to wear! (wink, wink)

Several ladies in our ward gave her a shower also!

She got a lot of really nice gifts! And had a lot of fun
visiting with everyone who came! There were probably
50 people there (the house was bulging at the seams!)
