Grocery Budget

I am reporting how I did on my grocery budget this month today, because I am leaving town and won't be grocery shopping any more this month. I spent $272.85 and even bought quite a few cases of food at the case lot sale! I love coupons and good deals and am really excited that this won't be as hard as I thought it would be! I have learned from my friend, Bliss, that when you set a goal, if you write it down and have to be accountable, you are more likely to be successful. That is why I decided to post this on my blog!!

Aggie Football

We were invited by a friend to watch the Aggie football game last

night in his "Box". This is Greg talking to Judd Eades (owner

of the box) and to the left sitting is our Bishop and his wife. It was

a great view and we are able to watch from in this room or go

outside onto a balcony.

My camera battery died after just a few minutes, so I

wasn't able to get any real great shots.

This was one of the times when they were getting ready to
make a touchdown. They played SUU (Breeann's old
school) and the score ended up being something like
54-31. It was nice to see them win a game!

Fall Soccer

Bryce is a great soccer player! He really enjoys being

on a team.
Half time pep talk with the coach and Bryce doesn't
want to have his picture taken.

At the end of the game the other day, the other team was

ahead by one point and then

Bryce made a goal in the last 5 seconds which
tied the game! It was very exciting! So, his coach

came up this idea of the parent wearing this hat

after their child had an amazing play.

Greg said I had to wear it also!

The reception

I put these pics in backwards, but here is the car after it

was decorated. These pictures were taken by Brandon's

cousin Katie. We are so happy she was there taking

pictures and appreciate her so much! We will soon

have the wedding pictures back from our photographer and

we will post temple pictures.

Groom's Dinner

Brandon's parents did a groom's dinner the night before

the wedding at Mack Park. It was beautiful, of course, and

fun to visit with everyone. This is a picture of from left to

right, Jenna (Brandon's brother's wife), Lauren (Brandon's

Good deals today!

I went to Salt Lake today with the intention of just going to my

favorite discount grocery outlet (NPS) but ended up having time to

go to Albertsons and Walgreens. I got tons of food!! Its hard to see it all,

but there is lots of yogurt, soup, cheese balls, salad dressing, cereal, mini pizzas,

hot cereal, sunflower seeds, candy, gum, chips, vitamin packets, salad starter kits,

and more...I spent a total of $51.15. And, yes, I am still doing good with my

budget. I love being able to share with my girls, so I had them both

come get stuff that they can use. I love getting good deals!

Danny from Grease

Today was favorite movie character day. Danny, from

Grease, isn't really his favorite but it was something we could do. We had

everything and didn't have to go to the store! Yea!

Homecoming Week

It is homecoming week at school and today is crazy day.

Bryce wanted to know if dad has any of his clothes from the

'70s because they were all mismatched and crazy. Ha Ha. We

probably should have saved some of our clothes from the '80s

because our kids always need to dress up for something and its

always a scramble trying to find something. So, today he

decided to dress all mismatched and backwards. Isn't he

cute?

Ward Party at Bear Lake

Our ward party was at the Watts' property yesterday. We ended

up having about 100 people come and spent the day playing

games, eating, visiting, playing in the water, boating, etc.

Girls trip to Bear Lake

My mom came to visit for a week and I wanted to take her on a little

over night trip. We decided to go to Bear Lake to relax and have a little fun.
We watched two really good movies (Saving Sara Cain was one of them --its a
Hallmark Movie I think) and I can't remember the other one, but it

was also a great movie. We also made cards, sat in the hot tub

and ate good food! Oh ya, and you can't leave Bear Lake without

getting a fresh raspberry shake!! Breeann had to work so she wasn't

able to come, but Christa came with us.

Frugal Challenge

I decided to take the frugal challenge with my friend Bliss. I am going to set a budget for groceries of $300. My best grocery store to get good deals is being sold to Associated Foods, so I am not sure how the sales will be. I like to be able to stock up when there is a sale and build up my food storage. Anyone want to join with us? I will let you know how I did at the end of the month!
