My day turned out to be pretty bad! I went to pick up Bryce at his friend's house and a backhoe backed into me! We were in a culdesac where they were removing a big pile of snow when I tried to back out of a driveway. I watched for him to stop and wait for me to leave, and when I saw him wait I backed out. Obviously he didn't see me, because he stomped on the gas going backwards and I couldn't get out of his way fast enough! Bryce was in the seat next to that door and luckily he hadn't put on his seatbelt yet because he was able to jump out of the way. The shovel on the back of the tractor went right through the window and then popped out the door. Bryce's head would have been clobbered if he hadn't been able to move quickly. It was pretty scary, but we were blessed to be protected. The Smithfield City insurance will pay for our van to be fixed, but in the meantime we have a nice rental van. Later that day, Breeann called to tell me that she had hurt her foot in her dance class. After about 4 hours we decided she should go get it looked at and she found out she had broken it. So, Bryce decided the day should be called Friday the 13th (0nly it was a Thursday). Saturday, January 24, 2009

I'm so sorry! I bet you are happy to have the day over with! It's sounds like your day could have been even worse if Bryce had gotten hurt! You can chalk that up for a good thing that happened on your bad day at least! :) I'm glad he's okay.
