Lotoja 2012

Greg rode in the Lotoja bike race again this year.
This is the race that starts in Logan and ends in Jackson, Wy.
The race is 206 miles, takes you into 3 states in 1 day.  Most
riders finish the race in approx 12 hours.  This is Greg's 4th time
riding the race.  However, this year he participated in a relay with 3
other guys from his work.  There are 5 legs of the race.  Greg rode
3 of the legs (all the uphill legs, of course!).  He was only officially
registered to ride 1 legs but he just couldn't stand to stop!  He has too
much fun (do you think that is a sickness???)  This picture is Greg and
David Watterson at the beginning of the first leg Greg did.
Greg getting ready to pass me as I
was waiting to cheer him on the side of
rode somewhere in Wyoming.
At the finish line there was a river
that never looked so good.  Greg and many
other riders took advantage of the "ice bath".
He is kneeling down in the water soaking his
sore legs.
Greg with our neighbor John Hernandez at
the finish line.  This is John's 15th year of
riding this race.  Yes, it is a sickness!
 John and his brother Chano.
We stayed at a little KOA campground in
Wyoming.  Much, much cheeper than any hotel
we could find and so cute.
Beautiful view from the back of the cabin
The back porch of the cabin.  It was chilly the next morning!
Jackson is such a beautiful place!  I was wishing I had
brought my nice camera because there were so many great
pictures to be had.  But....our phones did a pretty good job.
